Microwave Information: Items that are manufactured in Portmeirion Eathenware are ideally suited for use in cooking in microwave ovens. However, patterns that contain metallic gold as part of the decoration should not be used in a microwave. Metal items are not suited for use in microwave ovens.
Dishwasher Guide Lines: With the exception of hand painted products, all ceramic tableware, cookware//bake ware, kitchen ware and giftware are dishwasher safe. It is recommended that all hand - painted glass and ceramic ware be washed by hand.
Portmeirion tableware is guaranteed oven-safe to 340 degrees F and bake ware to 390 degreesF.
Remember that food in ceramic ware will remain hotter for longer periods than metal items
