Peg's Veggie Casserole  

 

Peg Edward's Veggie Casserole

This is that special dish that

 you can wow them with 

at your next party.

2 Bags of frozen mixed veggies (corn, carrots & peas or something of this variety)
16 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese 1 box of Ritz crackers
1 can of water chestnuts, diced    Mayonnaise  
1 pound of butter or margarine
Boil bags of vegetables until cooked.    'Drain
Spread in large baking dish (Should be at lease 2 " high)  
Mix diced water chestnuts with veggies
Frost 1/4" thick with Mayonnaise
Sprinkle with cheese
Crush the Ritz crackers in a bowl. Sprinkle over entire dish.   Should be at least 1/4" thick
Cut butter or margarine into thin slices.
Place 1/2" apart over the top of the casserole
Bake at 350degrees for 35 minutes.

Throw caution to the wind & enjoy!!!
