Just blend with a spoon. It's taken out about 10 minutes before serving. It pops out of the tray easily. This is an old southern recipe from my Grandmother's cookbook. (she of course used fresh tomatoes, celery, green pepper, onion and other seasonings. The canned stewed tomatoes have all the same ingredients.) "Jeanne"

FROZEN TOMATO ASPIC I can stewed tomatoes 4 Tbs. mayonnaise 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce Blend together, place in an ice cube shaped tray and freeze. 10 minutes before serving, remove and cut into 2" squares and place on a bed of lettuce. I sprinkle the tops with crushed dill weed. The unique flavors make this a real summertime treat ! |
