Shoepeg Corn & French Green Bean Casserole

 
Shoepeg Corn & French Green Bean Casserole:
 
Layer in 1-1/2  to 2 qt. round casserole and baked uncovered:
(Note a square shaped corning dish would also be suitable.)
 
1 (box) package frozen white shoepeg corn (microwave first) - (Recommend Green Giant frozen shoepeg corn)
1 can French green beans rinsed and drained in cold water - (I use DelMonte brand)
1 can cream of celery soup - (I use Campbell's soup brand)
1 8 oz container of sour cream (low fat or no fat can be used)
1 medium onion chopped fine in food processor
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
 
*** DO NOT STIR***
 
Topping:
 
1 stack finely crushed Ritz crackers
1 stick melted butter or margarine
1 package of slivered almonds
 
Cook uncovered in 325 degree oven for 30 minutes or till topping is slightly browned
