Born in 1866,
Georg Jensen was trained as both a sculptor and a goldsmith. In the beginning
of the century, he opened his first silversmith in Copenhagen, and upon his
death, in 1935, he had achieved world wide fame and was acclaimed by The New
York Herald Tribune as "The Greatest Silversmith of the Last 300
Years".
