"Betty's Apple Cake"
cake

This recipe was submitted by Betty's friend, Donna.  Here are her comments.

This cake is more like a coffee cake but so good.  Betty brought this to me when I was down with my back and feeling sick all the time.  I ate this and it hit the spot.  I joked with her that her Apple Cake had     medicinal qualities.  We're talking real "comfort food"!

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tbsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda.
1 tsp. cinnamon.
1 cup sugar
1/2 c. veg. oil
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. golden raisins
2 c. sliced apples

Mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar.
Stir in oil, vanilla, egg, and raisins. The batter will be thick.
Add apple slices.

Pour in a 9x9in. square pan. Bake @ 350 for 45 minutes
 Yummy!
