lead crystal & china tableware products in California must be
accompanied by specific warning pursuant to that state's unique Safe
Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 better know as Prop
65
Leaded Crystal Warning: Consuming foods or beverages that have
been kept or served in leaded crystal products or handling products made
of leaded crystal will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of
California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. You may wish
to return this product for a full refund within 30 days of receipt if you wish.
Ceramic Tableware Warning: Use of this product will expose
you to lead, a chemical know to the State of California to cause birth defects
or other reproductive harm. You may wish to return this product for a full
refund within 30 days of receipt if you wish. You may also obtain a list
of each brand of ceramic tableware for which the same warning is given.

from Lenox, Gorham and Dansk would result in exposure to lead at a
level greater than 0.5 micrograms (i.e. one half of one-one millionth of a
gram) per day. Consuming foods or beverages that have been kept or served
in leaded crystal products will expose you to lead, a chemical that
known to the state of CALIFORNIA to cause birth defects or other
reproductive harm.
