Just found your wonderful site. Would you share
with me your knowledge of silver vs. stainless. Also, 18/8 vs. 18/10
stainless? Any information you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Stainless steel is great for every day use. It stands up to
hard wear. The best stainless is the 18/8 which is constructed of 18%
chromium and 8% nickel content.. There is also
18/10 & 18/12. This contains 10% & 12% nickel. Nickel combats stains and
lends flatware a brighter silver sheen.
Many of our customers choose both a set of sterling or silverplate for the
special occasions & a set of stainless for everyday use. PLA
